Woods making strides in spring practice

While there has been much fanfare entering the spring surrounding the Mountaineers' wide receiver corps, the battle for playing time on the field has been heating up.

Behind the duo of Stedman Bailey and Tavon Austin, competition has been fierce, with both upperclassmen and underclassmen attempting to stand out from the pack every practice.

For senior J.D. Woods, the 2012 season can be seen as a chance at redemption. Lost in the shuffle at times last year following a relatively productive 2010 campaign, Woods is looking forward to this season as a chance to make his mark in this highly-touted unit.
