McIntosh planning visit to Xavier

Sophomore Bryant McIntosh isn't the most physically imposing of high major prospects, but that's ok; he lets his game do the talking for him.

The 6-foot-2 combo guard from Greensburg, Indiana was tearing up the competition in Chicago over the weekend at the Adidas Best Buy Classic with his Eric Gordon All-Stars 16u team. After a 25 point performance in a win over Ohio Basketball Club MusketeerScoop had a chance to catch up with the scoring wing.

"I tried to be aggressive and attack the basket today since my jumper was streaky. I also tried to get my teammates involved a lot."

McIntosh is a very good shooter from deep who has versatility as a scorer who can fill it up from close, mid, and long range; as well as being someone who can play a distributor role and rack up assists.

"I'm going to play combo guard at the next level I think. I want to be versatile. I can play either or, whichever my college coach needs me to play."

While he's only 16 years old McIntosh is no stranger to the recruiting scene as he has already gather significant interest from some top schools.

"Michigan and Xavier are talking to me quite a bit. Also, Indiana has started calling. Louisville and Purdue are on me a little bit as well."

With all of this interest coming his way at once the process is just starting to sink in for McIntosh and he has no favorites to name in this stage of his recruiting. That being said, his relationship with Xavier assistant coach Travis Steele has the Musketeers in good position with the Indiana native.

"I've been talking with Coach Steele about once a week for the last month. We've got a pretty good relationship."

McIntosh has never seen the Xavier campus before but that will be changing in the next week as he is in the process of setting up an unofficial visit.

"I'm taking a visit sometime next week, I'm really looking forward to learning more about the program."
