After giving up over 500 yards to the Arizona Wildcats the week before, the Oregon State defense came out with something to prove against the Washington State Cougars. Perhaps the biggest statement was the play of the secondary and this week's Giant Killer, Jordan Poyer.

Poyer had a dominating performance on Saturday in front of friends and family who made the trip from his hometown in Astoria, Ore. Three interceptions and a break-up were enough to give Poyer the nod over a three sack performance by defensive end Scott Crichton.

It was a big day for the secondary and defensive ends as three of the top five point earners were defensive backs with Anthony Watkins and Sean Martin making the cut. End Dylan Wynn joined Crichton in the top five with a team leading five tackles for the day.
