Florida able to weather the Clowney storm

Florida fans spent much of the week on Jadeveon Clowney watch.

South Carolina's sophomore defensive end and premier playmaker on defense went from probable to doubtful to observations concerning a walking boot to warming up and playing the way that once made him the nation's most prized recruit.

Clowney's impact was never in doubt once the game started. For 30 minutes, he tormented Gators left tackle Xavier Nixon. When the Gators were able to account for him, a blitzing safety busted through and sacked Jeff Driskel.
