Things didn't start off so well, but by the second half it finally looked like the offense starting to click. Great perseverance by the entire unit and Coach Riley and staff did a nice job of in game adjustments.

Arizona State was the best defense in the PAC 12 coming into the game and Will Sutton looked to be near 100% early.  He is flat out a great player and the ASU front seven may be the best the Beavs have faced all year.

Game ball to Terron Ward.  Huge game for him.  He is tough and doesn't go down easily.  Reminds me a lot of former Beaver great Ken Simonton with his size, strength and power.

Yes, Cody Vaz was sacked six times, but he also did a good job of getting rid of the ball and avoiding a sack or two.

Will this be the start to the offense we've expected to see all year?

Put it this way - the high flying UCLA offense put of 274 yards passing on Arizona State last week...with no Will Sutton.   With Will Sutton back in, the Beavers and Vaz managed 267 yards passing.  Not bad for a QB starting his third ever college game.

Ward has the ability to break tackles, to run downhill, and to pick up the block.  I have a feeling we will see him in the game more and more the rest of this year.
