Graham: Some things to be proud of

They say the hardest thing to do as a sports writer is find positives on a negative day.

No. 23 Texas Tech's 59-21 loss against was a negative day. But as the Red Raiders, and all losing football teams get farther from the site, the players start to talk about their own little positives. They talk about a nice block or a funny moment in the game when something was said to someone else.

Here we go.

In a game where the words 'gutless' and 'embarrassing' don't even begin to describe the collective effort we saw in Stillwater, Okla., there were positives and the players that created those deserve commendation.

How about free safety Cody Davis popping quarterback J.W. Walsh on a fairly easy touchdown run that ended in a no gain? Shoulder to chest. Bam.

The players are going to laugh about Tyson Williams jawing to the final whistle as they have in other losses. Quarterback Seth Doege likes to tell a story about Williams laying out some Kansas State player and being pumped about it despite the things going on in that debacle and surely witnesses to Williams' talking have something to tell their friends.
