Tennessee preview

Mississippi State will have to get the sour taste of defeat out of its mouth after having its three-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs venture back out onto the road to take on Tennessee today at 3 p.m.

MSU was drubbed in the second half against Alabama three days ago being outscored 45-21 in the final 20 minutes. The Crimson Tide drained five consecutive 3-pointers to start the second half to pull away. Freshman wing Fred Thomas was the only Bulldog player in double figures with 10 points.

Tennessee leads the overall series 75-41 although the Bulldogs have claimed the last two and four of the last five. State has not won back-to-back games in Knoxville since 1978-79.

Last year the Bulldogs won 62-58 in Humphrey Coliseum with Renardo Sidney, Arnett Moultrie and Dee Bost all scoring 13 points each.
