Bower ready to visit Iowa

The Iowa Hawkeyes are still looking for help at linebacker in this year's recruiting class and will be hosting a local one this weekend in West Branch native Bo Bower. The 6-foot-2, 208-pound Bower is currently committed to the UNI Panthers, but scheduled the official visit with the Hawkeyes this week after an in-home visit with Iowa linebackers coach LeVar Woods.

"Iowa has been talking to me for a while now, but it really picked up about two or three weeks ago," said Bower. "Coach Reese Morgan came by the school last week and then Coach LeVar Woods was here on Monday."

"He just went over everything that was going on and talked about their situation and needing another linebacker," Bower continued. "Then he asked me if I wanted to do an official visit and I told him yeah I would love to."

As a senior, Bower produced on both sides of the ball for West Branch, earning all-state honors after he finished the season with 57 tackles, 6 TFL, and 4 interceptions on defense plus 810 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns on offense. Both Iowa and UNI project him as an outside linebacker in college.
