SPRING FOOTBALL: Dantonio provides update

EAST LANSING - Head coach Mark Dantonio indicated that there has been no major movement in the Michigan State quarterback race, thus far in spring practice, during a press briefing prior to Tuesday's session.

"Right now it's status quo, going into practice No. 6," Dantonio said.

That means senior Andrew Maxwell is still No. 1, still the man to beat, ahead of sophomore Connor Cook and redshirt freshman Tyler O'Connor.

"A lot of that is based on little things," Dantonio said. "Whether it's knowledge of what we're doing and things of that nature, but we will know more after our scrimmage on Friday."
