*A couple of depth chart moves: It appeared that Xzavie Jackson may have leapfrogged Stryker Sulak as a starter at defensive end for now. This means nothing because this battle is so close, they might as well be co-starters. Connell Davis is back to number four at tailback with the healthy return of Earl Goldsmith.
Brandon Coleman still appears to be holding on to number two at tight end.
*Andrew Hoskins was back at practice on Tuesday afternoon, third on the depth chart at one receiver spot. Receiver depth could be an issue with Jerrill Humphrey's future in question. The Tigers currently have only five scholarship wideouts in spring practice.
*Goldsmith, Marcus Woods and Tommy Saunders were the only three getting work at punt returner. The punt coverage unit looked to be made up almost exclusively of defensive starters, although it did include current reserves Brock Christopher and William Moore.
*David Overstreet was held out of some drills with a minor injury. On the flip side, Mack Breed practiced with no red for the first time in memory.
*During run drills, it appeared that the battles were about split between the offensive and defensive lines seemed to be about as close as it has been all spring. The offensive front held its own, which it has struggled to do much of the spring.
