Wallace's recruitment is coming into focus

Virginia basketball coach Dave Leitao and his staff are working feverishly on their 2007 recruiting class and it seems as if new prospects are emerging on the radar nearly every day. But one player who has been a focal point of the class for some time now is Eric Wallace. The 6-foot-7, 195-pound forward from Glenn High School in Kernersville, N.C., visited UVa twice during basketball season. What's the latest on Wallace?

CavsCorner.com caught up with his AAU coach, Brian Clifton of D-One Sports, to get an update.

"Nothing too much has changed really," Clifton said Monday night. "Eric is mostly focused on finishing out his academic year."

Wallace made two trips to Charlottesville in the last couple of months and enjoyed both visits, especially the second, where he had more time to check out the University.
