UVa showing increased interest level in Nunn

The Virginia football program won't be signing a big 2007 recruiting class, but it will take at least three offensive linemen most likely.

One player who has surfaced on the Cavaliers' radar in recent weeks is Kyle Nunn. The 6-foot-6, 275-pounder from Sumter High School in South Carolina projects as an offensive tackle at the college level, and he's drawing interest from numerous programs.

"I've been getting mail from them for the last two or three months and on Thursday Coach (Levern) Belin came to my school," Nunn said. "He said they had the need for offensive lineman and that they're looking for people with good character who are good football players."

At this point, Nunn has just one offer, but he is hearing from several schools in addition to UVa.

"I have an offer from N.C. State, and I'm also hearing from Virginia Tech, Auburn, Clemson, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Maryland and Penn State," Nunn said.
