Hogs offer speedy Tennessee athlete
Knoxville, Tenn., Catholic athlete Harrison Smith received his eighth scholarship offer from Arkansas, and he proved why he is deserving of so many with a super-star performance at the Athens, Ga., NIKE Training Camp.
Smith, 6-foot-2, 205 pounds, plays running back and safety for Catholic. His 1,312 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns impressed college coaches, as did his 87 tackles and seven interceptions. His NIKE Camp performance added to that.
"I've taken some unofficial visits, and I just went to the Athens NIKE Camp," Smith said. "I did pretty good. I ran a 4.38 in the 40, and a 3.94 in the shuttle."
Smith also did 25 reps in the 185-pound bench press. Arkansas joins teams like Boston College, Clemson, Ole Miss, Stanford, Tennessee and Virginia Tech with scholarship offers.
