Cornell still working on qualifying

In football, just enough doesn't cut it.

Players must go above the normal and give extra effort in everything they do. Such is the case for California linebacker Jonathan Cornell.

Cornell was a late and somewhat surprising pick up for Ole Miss's 2006 recruiting class. The four-star linebacker spurred his West Coast roots and decided to head east to SEC to play football.

Now there is just a little bit more work left to do.

"I'm really close. I am going to make it. I just have to pass my finals with Bs. I have mostly As in my core classes," Cornell said. "I got to take my Internet classes and get As and Bs on that."
