Edwards reflects on Midwest visits

Michigan was introduced to Orlando (Fla.) Edgewater when they pulled wide receiver Greg Mathews from there in the class of 2006.

Now, Edgewater safety Lorenzo Edwards is becoming a widely sought after prospect and is ranked as a top 100 player. Two weekends ago, he took the time to make a visit to three Midwest schools with Michigan being one of his stops along with Notre Dame and Northwestern.

TheWolverine also had the opportunity to speak with Edwards head coach at Edgewater, Bill Gierke, this week, and he said taking the time to travel to the Midwest and check out schools he is interested in is indicative of the way Edwards has handled the recruiting process thus far.
