West Virginia waiting on Kasparek

PITTSBURGH--Part of the recruiter's job this time of year is not only to evaluate prospects, but also to shadow them as the various combines play out.

While WVU offered a crop of prospects before the NCAA Division I-A evaluation period began on April 16, a couple more likely have passed the coaching staff's way as the juniors progressed from the Elite College Combine in New Jersey, the various NIKE camps two weekends ago and on through Joe Butler's Metro Index combine last week.

For those with offers, it's time for the Mountaineer staff to follow them along the way, though for several prospects on the bubble, WVU offers will not come until the Rich Rodriguez Individual Camp June 17-19 at the football complex.

In either case, Rodriguez and Western PA recruiter Tony Gibson made it to the Metro Index on Monday at the UPMC Training Center on the Southside.
