Instant contributor?

The Longhorns lost starting middle linebacker Aaron Harris to graduation following last year's national championship, but Gene Chizik is blessed with a talented, albeit very young, returning group.

Guys like Robert Killebrew, Drew Kelson and Rashad Bobino all gained valuable experience last year and they could all be ready for breakout seasons. Throw in freshman sensation Sergio Kindle, and the Horns appear to be set at the position.

Things got even better for Longhorns fans Tuesday with the arrival of freshmen Jared Norton and Dustin Earnest.

Norton, a Rivals100 member out of Rowlett, worked overtime to prepare for his arrival in Austin, including working out with an Olympic running trainer. By getting himself into the best shape possible, Norton has eliminated some of the anxiety that most freshman have to deal with and he's hoping the work with his trainer will make for a smooth transition.
