Houston In No Rush Towards Recruiting

With a trio of young tailbacks already on the roster, signing a ballcarrier isn't at the top of Tennessee's priorities in this '07 class. The Vols, like most programs though, have one eye peeled out for an exceptional running back, if they can find one. One prospect who sits on that list of targets is North Carolina's Ryan Houston, a battering-ram of a player.

Houston (6-foot-2, 245 pounds, 4.58 40-yard dash), from Matthews, N.C., is a player being hotly pursued by virtually everyone in the ACC and other programs like the Vols. But with so many options out there, Houston is taking his time in sorting things out at this stage.

"I'm really not close to narrowing things down yet," Houston said. "I know that I'm going to take some visits in the fall during the season, but I haven't really sat down yet and thought hard about which five schools are going to make the cut."
