Wood camps at UGA

One of the Georgia targets in Athens for the camp over the weekend was C.J. Wood. Wood picked up an offer about a month ago when he impressed the UGA coaches at a June camp. He came back this time for the first day and spent a lot of time with the coaches in between sessions.


"All I did was the mat drills, the agility tests, and the standing broad jump," said Wood. "I ran a 5.0 forty-yard dash for them back in June, so I didn't think I needed to run that again."


When Wood wasn't testing, he was spending time with the coaches.


"I got to talk to Coach Jancek a good bit and it was cool," he said. "I didn't get to talk to Coach Callaway that much because he was working the camp."


"Coach Jancek was making sure my head was on straight because he heard about Auburn being up there with Georgia."
