Top in-state prospect will visit Auburn Friday

Auburn is expecting many top prospects to be on-campus this weekend for the final senior camp of the summer. And while some of the biggest recruits will be from out of state, one of the top overall targets will be from the Camellia State in Davidson four-star safety Michael McNeil.

McNeil, a Rivals100 selection and the No. 1 prospect in the state according to AuburnSports.com, will be taking his second trip to the Plains since the spring. He, along with several of his teammates, will be arriving a day early for the Saturday camp.

"I'm most definitely looking forward to going to Auburn. We're leaving Friday and we're going to spend the night and then we're going to get up and go to the camp," said the 6-foot-2, 200-pounder. "I'm not going to participate, just visit and hang out with the coaches."

McNeil attended Auburn's A-Day game in March, but didn't get to see much of the campus or facilities. He hopes to change that this weekend.
