Alabama still on top for Gibson?

UMS-Wright wide receiver Brandon Gibson has had a busy summer but with track instead of football which has kept him from taking some of the unofficial visits he had planned. Gibson, 6-foot-2, 190-pounds, has over 15 scholarship offers and the Mobile native currently has a top five list of favorites with one standing above the rest.

"My recruiting has slowed down a little but that is fine. I have plenty of great offers and now I just need to get out and see some of the schools. I've been trying to get out and take some unofficial visits but I haven't been able to make it yet," Gibson said. "I had a family emergency come up and I've been on the road with the Junior Olympics. I just got back from Nashville where I finished 2nd in the long and triple jump. Next week I'm going to Baltimore for nationals but I'm hoping after that I'll be able to take some trips. I know I want to go to Georgia and LSU.

"My school list is still the same for the most part. Alabama is still my overall favorite and Auburn and LSU would round out my top three. Georgia and Georgia Tech are still on my list but not as high as the others."
