Carroll in no hurry; two schools stand out

While making an early commitment has become the growing trend, not all prospects follow that set of guidelines. Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., St. Thomas Aquinas' Wesley Carroll is one of those that plans to wait a little while, and while five schools are on his current list of leaders, two have been in since the beginning and hold a slight edge. Who is in the mix, who has shown the most interest, and what will it come down to?


"I am really keeping my options wide open," he said. "I am not going to commit early. I don't want the pressure of having to decide before I really want to. Most likely I will take as many visits as necessary to the schools that have offered and shown the most interest. They will get the visits over the ones with less interest.


"I haven't really even talked to my head coach in awhile. I am really just staying focused on this upcoming season and the teams. That is obviously the most important right now because everything else will fall into place."
