Another Nease lineman on Irish radar

St. Augustine, Fla., offensive lineman Clyde Yandell has recently become a big target, and that has nothing to do with his 6-foot-5, 304-pound frame. The Nease High School offensive lineman has claimed 22 scholarship offers and interest from other top schools like Notre Dame and Michigan, two programs that he visited earlier this summer.

"I haven't made a leader or top five, but Florida, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Maryland and Northwestern are a few of the ones I like," Yandell said. "Notre Dame and Michigan were equally impressive in their respective ways when I visited, but I dont put them in my favorites list just because neither have offered yet."

When Yandell attended the Irish camp, it was the first time the staff had the opportunity to see him on the field. The staff hadn't had the chance to review the tape Yandell sent earlier in the spring.

"I went to the one day camp and when I went up there they hadn't even seen my spring film that I sent them in May so I have really just began to get recruited by them," he said. "Coach (John) Latina said he liked how I did in camp and said he likes the looks of how things will work out in the future as far as posible offer. If they offered they would be right up top."
