Willingham looking for 'later slot'

Los Angeles, Calif. - Taking the podium at the annual Pac-10 Media Day alongside star quarterback Isaiah Stanback, Washington Husky head football coach Tyrone Willingham spoke optimistically about his team's fortunes for the upcoming college football season.

Having skippered a squad that finished 2-9 in 2005, Willingham spoke bluntly before an assembly of reporters on the challenges his Huskies will face this season, and the strides the program had made in the year since he took the reigns.

The Pac-10 media event, held inside the cavernous California Ballroom at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel by the Los Angeles International Airport, featured each Pac-10 coach accompanied by a player of his choice.
