Camp Preview: Linebackers

Without a doubt, Arizona State's biggest personnel loss from last season will be at linebacker, where Pat Tillman Co-Defensive Player of the Year in the Pac-10 Dale Robinson and fellow starter Jamar Williams made their home, but have since departed. What can be expected from the position group now that these two stars have departed? attempts to answer that question in a camp preview of the linebackers.

Robinson, who played the middle linebacker (MIKE) position but came up as a rush end in certain situations, led the team and finished second in the league in total tackles (115) and tackles for loss (15), and he finished second on the team in sacks with four. Williams meanwhile led the team with three interceptions and finished third on the squad with 70 tackles, including four tackles for loss and two sacks. He also had two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

It's hard to replace that kind of productivity.
