Thompson gives thoughts on fall camp

Ready for Kansas State football? We know you are. We asked Voice of the Wildcats Wyatt Thompson to give his rundown on the top players and sleepers, and discuss the biggest improvements and accomplishments by the Wildcats entering the 2006 season. Why should Dylan Meier start? Why should Josh Freeman start? It's all here in this exclusive analysis that you'll find no place else.

TOP FIVE OVERALL PLAYERS ON OFFENSE
1. Jordy Nelson: Breakout year in 2005 and hopefully continues to make progress to be one of the Big 12's top receivers.

2. Dylan Meier/Josh Freeman: Just because of the importance of the position.

3. Derek Meyer: He was a guy who redshirted last year and the coaches really wanted to play him but didn't because of his skill level. He has a chance to be a very fine player.

4. James Johnson: If his numbers are even close to what he did in junior college, it would make for an amazing season.

5. Rashaad Norwood: He has really flourished in this new system and has a chance to have a big year.
