Smith talks about Prattville opener, VU decision

On August 16th, the Vanderbilt coaching staff got a significant boost to their 2007 recruiting efforts with the commitment of Prattville, Ala., quarterback Larry Smith.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder is regarded as the best quarterback in the state of Alabama and is a three-star player and the 25th ranked dual-threat quarterback in the nation.

Smith gave a verbal to the Commodores over offers from Louisville and Southern Mississippi and had received strong interest from Georgia Tech, Auburn, Alabama, Florida State, Tennessee, and others.
