Encouraging LSU to pass

In theory, the balance was there for the LSU offense against Louisiana-Lafayette last Saturday night.


In production, there was a total imbalance while the Tigers' first-unit offense was on the field against the Ragin' Cajuns.


With JaMarcus Russell at quarterback, LSU had 33 snaps. Those plays were almost equally divided between runs by Justin Vincent and Jacob Hester and passes by Russell. Vincent and Hester combined for 16 carries, and Russell went to the air 17 times.
