Red Raiders start '08 class with a bang

It appears as if leading the nation in passing offense over the last four years has begun paying real dividends as the Texas Tech football program is quickly becoming a popular destination for blue-chip quarterbacks nationwide. Over the past two months, the Red Raiders received a verbal commitment from Little Rock, Arkansas gunslinger Stefan Loucks and picked up Arizona State-transfer Derek Shaw.

Considering this, it is somewhat ironic that Mike Leach found his quarterback of the future on the outskirts of Lubbock.

Wolfforth, Texas' Seth Doege, a widely regarded as one of the top three quarterbacks in the state of Texas in the class of 2008 before injuring his ACL last month, confirmed he's committed to the Red Raiders.
