Not a mundane Monday for SC

Monday's practice marked the first day the Trojans officially began preparing for this week's showdown with the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

The day ended normally for USC, but it began with a strange and unexplained injury on defense. In fact, before practice started, one of the Trojans' best defenders was carted off the field.

During defensive walk-through drills on Kennedy Field, junior defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis hobbled to the sidelines in discomfort. Met by trainers moments later, the star defender was catered off the field and brought back to Heritage Hall.
