The Alabama Crimson Tide is 3-0 after wins against Hawaii, Vanderbilt, and Louisiana-Monroe, but fans are still feel they don't have a good read on this team. So BamaOnLine fielded some questions from our loyal subscribers to ask senior writer and expert Travis Reier, and hopefully provide some more insight to the 2006 Crimson Tide team.
Here is what Travis had to say...
Question from Run_Forest_Run: Obviously one of the big questions heading into this year was Bama's OL play. After 5 games do you feel they have started to come together as a unit, and have you seen a big difference from game 1 to game 5? Also, if you were an opposing scout, how would you peg their strengths and weaknesses?
Question from ahabbard: All I heard about in the spring was how we were going to go four-wide with possibly a tight end in the slot to give us a big target; why have we not seen this? Charles Hoke appears to be one of the more talented receivers we have and we don't use him at all. Also what is Nikita Stover lacking besides playing time? Key third down against Arkansas he makes a big play, third down at UF, he's on the sideline.
Question from chrisnichols33: With our ablity to move the ball between the twenty's what do you contribute to the woes we have seen in the red zone? We have made more trips to the red zone than anybodyelse in the SEC yet we have less touchdowns than the other SEC schools. Are we to predicatable?
Question from swole78: From your observations, why are we not able to get pressure on the opposing teams QB? Even in the 3-3-5 when we blitz it seems our LB's can not shed blocks. Anyways would like to hear your opinion.
Question from tide10: Why is there a lack of formations in the shotgun. Going along with that, why do we never play fake to the rb in the gun.
