Ask the expert: Nebraska

Just how badly does Nebraska want to earn its first win in Manhattan since 1996 and beat former Husker commit Josh Freeman in the process? We asked HuskersIllustrated publisher Sean Callahan those questions and more in this week's Ask the Expert feature heading into Saturday's Nebraska-Kansas State battle.

1. Just how much talk is there about Josh Freeman in the Husker camp this week?

I think it's with the fans and media more than anything. When Bill Snyder retired I think a lot people thought that would really take away from the NU vs. KSU rivalry, since he's meant so much to it over the years. However, the Freeman situation has added more spice to this rivalry and given the fans something to really banter back and forth about.

The players have been pretty reserved with their comments, as has Bill Callahan. The thing that the players seem excited about is seeing a true freshman quarterback that's only making his second career start. Everybody knows Freeman is a talented player, but obviously he's no where near where he'll be in a year or two from now.

2. Nebraska seems to really have the running game going. I know the Huskers like to play a number of different backs, but who do you expect to get most of the carries against the Wildcats?
