Floridians making Iowa St. visit plans

Playing for an Oakland Park (Fla.) Northeast team that is loaded with Division I talent has allowed linebacker Josh Hartigan to schedule and take his official visits to college campuses with teammates. Having a friend alongside you is more fun, said Hartigan, and the teams recruiting multiple Northeast players are the ones he is starting to schedule trips with.

"Right now, I actually have no other visits that are official, but myself and a couple other [Northeast] players are planning to go to Pittsburgh in December," Hartigan reported. "Then, myself and Charles James, we're planning on going up to Iowa State. Nothing is for sure yet because my schedule does not correspond with other schedules. I might have to wait until after the season is over."

The 6-1, 200-pound Hartigan expects he and James, a 5-8, 170-pound athlete prospect at Northeast, will take that official visit to Iowa State sometime in November or December, but has not set a specific date with Cyclone assistant coach Todd Fitch.
