It's safe to say Buster Davis had a pretty productive week. In
addition to his classes and football practices and film study sessions
and media interviews, Florida State's defensive captain made the cut
for two more major national awards.

Davis was named a semifinalist on Thursday for the Bednarik Award,

Butkus (top linebacker), Lombardi (top lineman or linebacker) and Lott
(top defensive player) awards.

those linemen off me, I can take care of the rest."

In a bizarre stroke of irony, the injuries that sidelined four of
FSU's top six linebackers have actually opened the door for Davis to
lay claim to some post-season hardware.
