Led by a pair of passed over locals, defensive end Titus Brown and head coach Sylvester Croom, Mississippi State got over the SEC road-game hump at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
In using a spin move to repeatedly blow past Alabama's right offensive tackles and into John Parker Wilson's lap, Brown may as well have been back at Hillcrest High School. For Croom, it was anything but just another win in Tuscaloosa, something he grew accustomed to while playing for the Crimson Tide more than 30 years ago.
