Thursday's practice in the books

Competition was opened up this week at practice and jobs were on the line. Most notably in the defensive backfield. All parties involved responded with inspired performances this week at practice. Now the question remains, will the effort and focus on detail the Bruins displayed in practice transfer to the playing field on Saturday.

"We decided to keep with our current guys the way they are, but those other guys (Bret Lockett and Alterraun Verner) are going to play," Dorrell said. "We are going to let those other guys get a chance to play and see when they get in there if they can give us lift when they get a chance to play.

"Both Dennis Keyes and Rodney Van, had good practices," Dorrells said. "They responded to the challenge pretty good, which is what you want them to do, given the competition."
