Rainey's 326 yards leads Lakeland

Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland felt pretty good about shutting down the run. After all, going into their 5A State Semifinal match against Lakeland (Fla.), the undefeated Buccaneers had only given up an average of 57-yards per game on the ground.

Four and a half minutes into the game, running back Chris Rainey had already topped that mark on a single carry, a 72-yard jaunt into the end zone, the first of his three touchdown runs.

Unfortunately for Mainland, the 5-foot-11, 160-pound speedster wasn't finished as he totaled 326-yards on the night on only 22 carries in the Dreadnaught's 35-24 victory.

The leader of his vanquished opponent offered up high praise at the end of the game.
