Plenty of talent on S.C. Shrine Bowl team
SPARTANBURG, S.C.-The South Carolina squad for the 70th Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas is a step up with regards to Division I-A talent, compared to last year, when the number was below average.
The following is a look at some of the highlights on the Sandlapper roster heading into the week of practice, which begins at 9:30 a.m. Monday morning at Dorman High School.
All eyes will be on the quarterback position this week as five-star signal caller Willy Korn of Duncan Byrnes will most likely be the starting quarterback for the Sandlapper squad. Korn, a Clemson verbal commit, will get the chance to play with a solid offensive line, good running game and excellent wide receivers.
