Houston impressed with Butch Davis

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Matthews (N.C.) Butler running back Ryan Houston enjoyed a standout senior season, which helped him earn a coveted spot on North Carolina's Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas squad.

Houston recently met with new UNC head coach Butch Davis, who is hopeful to maintain the tailback's commitment to the Tar Heels. Davis, who had an in-home visit last week with Houston, made it clear that he wants the 6-2, 250-pounder to play tailback.

In fact, Davis went as far as to tell Houston that he has a jersey at North Carolina already waiting for him.
