Video Interview: One of Georgia’s Best in 2008 has been on the road late in 2006 visiting some of the top juniors in the Peach State. One that made the preliminary Top 12 was defensive lineman Omar Hunter. Hunter attends Buford High School and paid this 2008 prospect a visit recently. Check out this exclusive video interview with inside.

Prospect: Omar Hunter

High School: Buford (Buford, Ga.)

Class: 2008

Position: Defensive Tackle

Vitals: 6-1, 300-pounds, 4.72

Offers: Auburn, Duke, LSU, and Mississippi State

Favorites: Open, but grew up a Michigan fan

The Skinny: Hunter plays hard, plays fast, plays through the whistle, and is one of the best in 2008 prospects in Georgia. He is very strong, he is explosive, and he lives in opponent's backfields. He may be a bit on the small side in height, but he uses that to his advantage by getting up under the pads of the big offensive linemen. Hunter can play the run and pass very well and look for his offer list to grow as we get into 2007.

We went over to Buford High School recently to talk with Hunter about recruiting, his style of play, his early offers, what games he attended this fall, and more.

If you could not watch the interview, then here are some of the quotes from Hunter.

"I am a fast and physical player. I am 6-2 and 300-pounds."

"I would say speed is definitely a strength. Speed and power."

"I think I am more of a run stop player. I am I am pretty good at pass rushing, but I am definitely a run stop guy."
