LSU tries to avoid speed trap

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Even LSU's center sees the difference. And when an interior offensive lineman notices the Tigers' team speed advantage over the Irish, that's probably a bad sign for Notre Dame.

"I don't think we have a huge speed advantage over them, I don't pay much attention to that," said Brett Helms. "We might. I think that we're going to line up and try to grind it out."

Helms said LSU didn't want to turn the Sugar Bowl into a track meet, but that's exactly that the Tigers could try if they've watched Notre Dame game film.
