VT first to offer stud GA junior

With most of the 2007 class in hand, Virginia Tech is getting a jump start on next year by offering some star prospects. The Hokies are the first school to throw their hat in the mix for a star running back in the Peach State, Suwanee (Ga.) Peachtree Ridge tailback Brandon Davis.

Torrian Gray called Davis's father to give them the good news.

At least two other schools, Georgia and Florida, are very close to pulling the trigger on the junior tailback.
