Getting to know commit Anthony Perkins
Anthony Perkins accounted for more than 5,250 yards of total offense as a junior and senior for Northglenn (Colo.) High. But it is on the defensive side of the football that Perkins hopes to make his name at the college level.
The 5-foot-10, 180-pound standout took some time out to talk with Rivals.com about his college decision and a variety of other topics.
You became the Buffs' first commitment from this class all the way back in late April. Did making an early commitment make it easier for you as a senior, not having to deal with the stress of making your college decision?
"Oh, yeah. Because I committed early I was able to focus on just starting my senior year of high school. I think it was the right thing to do for me."
I know I have asked you this before, but what was it that really made Colorado stand out in your recruiting process?
"Just really the whole situation; all the coaches and the whole attitude of the program. I like the outlook for what they are trying to do with this program and I thought it would be a good chance for me to go and learn from some of the best coaches and just have a great time. CU has just always been my No. 1."
