G.J. Kinne is ready for the future

Texas Longhorn quarterback commit G.J. Kinne put together a stellar senior season at Gilmer. The 6-foot-1, 207-pound gunslinger threw for 3,259 yards and 46 touchdowns in 11 games with only one interception, which came on his first pass of the season. Kinne's impressive play as a senior ended with an invitation to play in the East Meets West all-star game in Orlando.

Kinne made the most of his opportunities in the game, throwing a 59-yard touchdown to future teammate Malcolm Williams. Kinne recently sat down and talked all-star game, improvement and other subjects with Orangebloods.com.

On the interception, I was just trying to be a hero. I rolled out to the right and I saw the tight end dragging to the left. I threw the ball across my body when I have been told many times not to make that attempt.
