Offers two and three arrive for GA RB

The state of Georgia has real depth at the running back position in the class of 2008. One of the talented prospects at that position is Brandon Davis. Virginia Tech was the first to offer, but two more schools have joined the Hokies this week.

"Vanderbilt and Maryland offered me this week," said Davis. "Virginia Tech offered me first, so I now have three offers."

Davis wasn't too surprised by the Commadores or Terps offer.

"They had been down to my school to get tape on me and they had been texting me a lot too," he said. "I have talked to both on and off, so I kind of had a hunch they were going to offer me."

Does Davis have a hunch about his next offer?

"Georgia and Connecticut both text me a lot and they both send me a lot of mail. I am going over to Georgia this weekend for Junior Day and they could offer there. I am not sure if they will or not, but I think they are close."

This 5-foot-9, 195-pound Peach State back is ready for his unofficial visit to UGA.

"I am really looking to find out more about Georgia's academics, how they could take care of me, their graduation rate, and just learn more about their coaches too. I have watched them a lot, but I want to learn as much as a I can about them while I am there."
