Cal lands big-time recruit in Rigsbee

Chico (Calif.) Pleasant Valley offensive lineman Tyler Rigsbee made Cal fans ecstatic in early January, becoming the Golden Bears first official commitment in the 2008 class. Standing an athletic, yet strong 6-foot-5, 255-pounds, the talented Rigsbee was recently named to the 2008 Rivals250.

It would be hard not to walk away extremely impressed after interviewing Rigsbee. He is without a doubt a "Cal kid." Rigsbee has been around the game his entire life, can play every position on the line, and possesses the academic background to be successful at Cal. He is a long-time Golden Bear fan, having participated in football camps in Berkeley, to watching former Pleasant Valley stars Aaron Rodgers and Garrett Cross go on to have incredible Cal careers.
