Video: Tyson says Georgia is his leader

One of the top prospects in the state of Georgia's class of 2008 is defensive lineman DeAngelo Tyson. Tyson was named to the Rivals.com Junior All-American team earlier this month and he already had an impressive offer list. One school stands out on that list and it is the home state Bulldogs. We caught up with Tyson recently for this exclusive video interview where he says Georgia leads.

Prospect: DeAngelo Tyson

High School: Statesboro (Lester, Ga.)

Class: 2008

Position: Defensive Tackle

Vitals: 6-2, 291-pounds, 5.1

Offers: Auburn, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, and others.

Favorites: Leaning to Georgia.

The Skinny: Tyson is a quick interior defensive lineman that plays with his hands and great leverage. He makes plays that you don't see too many high school athletes make at that position. Speed is a big strength of his and he can play the run or the pass.

We traveled down to Statesboro High School recently to visit with Tyson and we captured this exclusive video interview. He talks about his offers, his leader, how his knee is doing, when he plans to make his decision, and more.

If you are not able to watch the video interview at this time, then here are some of the quotes from Tyson.

"I am 6-foot-2 and about 290-pounds. I gained about 10-pounds since last year."

"My bench max is 355-pounds and my power clean is 355-pounds."

"I tore my LCL in the second game of our season. It is alright now, but I don't have the power coming back up. I can squat, but I can't squat as much."

"I don't think I played as good as I could [during my junior year], but I know when I played, I did my best."

"I have speed and quickness and I know how to fight off the blocks. I can get to the ball and I can put pressure on the quarterback."
