Roberts discusses Hokie offer

Smithfield, Va. running back Dyrell Roberts picked up an offer from Virginia Tech recently. What does the 6-foot-2, 190-pounder think about the scholarship from the Hokies?

"I think I got it about a week or two ago," he said. "You know, I'm happy about getting a full ride anywhere. I do like Tech though. I've been following them since Vick was there and they are always a favorite in my book. I never thought I'd get an offer from them."

Roberts has been in touch with Jim Cavanaugh and Frank Beamer," he said. "I talk to coach Cav through text messages. They told me I can choose where I want to play because I can play anywhere at wide receiver, running back defensive back or special teams. All four coaches approved me and that was really big, all of them think I can play."
