Back to the practice field after first scrimmage

After two weeks of practices, Arizona's coaching staff got to see the UA players in action on Saturday during the team's first spring scrimmage. While the Wildcats were certainly impressive on Saturday morning, there is also plenty to work on.

Looking back on the scrimmage, UA head coach Mike Stoops remains optimistic about everything he saw.

"I thought we did some really good things," Stoops told reporters following Monday's practice. "Protection-wise I think we had a couple missed assignments but it was a pretty clean scrimmage."

All eyes were on Arizona's offense on Saturday and the debut of the UA's new scheme was a success. With the exception of senior linebacker Spencer Larsen picking off a Willie Tuitama pass and taking it back for a touchdown, Stoops was pleased with the offense.
