Thanks to a solid week of work for the offense, some injuries on defense and a lighter blitz package, Arkansas' offense exploded with big plays during Saturday's scrimmage.
Sophomore tailback Michael Smith made the most of his 8 carries by putting up 143 rushing yards, including a longs of 63 and 56 yards. Smith was quick to credit the offensive line, but he broke several tackles in the second and third levels of the defense.
"The biggest thing that the coaches want to see is if I can carry a load with both of them possibly being gone next year," Smith said. "We're done with install, and it's time for things to start gelling and clicking."
